High Sierra

So as whoever is reading this blog probably knows, I am at college in california. Azusa Pacific University in souther California, to be precise. Right outside of Los Angeles. The place where Hollywood is. Yeah....I'm pretty much famous. But THIS semester, instead of staying on main campus, I chose to do a study abroad called High Sierra where I drove 6 hours north of Azusa to the wooded, isolated, cold area near Yosemite commonly known by Azusa Students as High Sierra.

There are only 41 other students at High Sierra. It is a learning-intensive course which emphasizes the classics. This semester the classes I'm taking are Aesthetics, Great Ideas (a philosophy course), Christian Classics, Fit for Life, and Leadership. I will be reading great works such as Erasmus's Ten Colloquies and Kierkegaard's Fear and Trembling, etc.

"Sure, you'll learn a lot, but what's the benefit?" you're probably thinking. WELLL...at High Sierra, we only have classes three days a week, and with our four-day weekend we (in addition to homework), do outside adventure activities! That's the purpose of this blog, to share with you the adventure things I do. Because I have the memory of a gold fish, and if I didn't document it, I'd forget it, haha.
